Aljunied Hougang Town Council led to AIMgate.
Palmergate led to WP's Lee Li Lian winning Punggol East by 54%
PAP's White Paper on Population led to furore in Singapore over the 7 million in 2030.
Which will lead to 16 February's 'ZoukOut' at Hong Lim Park at 4.30pm!
Surprisingly, out of the blue, a huge crowd gathered at 4pm today 2nd February 2013 at Hong Lim Park to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Operation Cold Store where more than a hundred were arrested under ISA on 2 February 1963.
Chia Thye Poh, Lim Hock Siew, Said Zahari, Poh Soo Kai and many others were incarcerated for decades for their courage and fortitude in not selling their integrity and honour to a bully. Their steadfastness in refusing to succumb to the wishes of a cruel political megalomaniac deserves respect and admiration from Singaporeans and many who are not kiasu, kiasi, kiachenghu and kiaqui.
Having celebrated 'live' the winning of WP's Lee Li Lian at the coffeeshop in Hougang [Link] exactly one week ago, my damaged heart races again this afternoon at Hong Lim Park listening to these elderly gentlemen recounting the years of cruelty inflicted upon them and their loved ones. They lost many years of their youthful life being incarcerated by a sly and wicked despot.
HORMAT! From the bottom of my heart, I bow to the these Bravehearts not only for the sacrifice of years taken away from them; the hurt and sufferings they and their loved ones bear but more so for their courage to speak up and write of the suffering they went through. To teach Singaporeans and let the whole world know that Singapore may have been better place today if such atrocities were not committed against them.
Many paid $10,000 for one man's 'hard truths' and autograph. It's too rich for my blood and the "truths' may be too 'hard' for me to swallow.
I'm elated to be the proud owner of the book, Fajar Generation, autographed by a political prisoner who sacrificed 17 years of his life refusing to be cowered by a sly political bully whose ill deeds are revealed in The Fajar Generation.
I did not have to pay $10,000 for this treasure. While Dr Poh Soo Kai so kindly signed the book before he spoke, I also received a warm handshake and a loving smile from him when I asked him about the Questions and Answers Session he had at KL recently (video below) after his speech.
Saying "Mad Mullahs" and writing “I would say today, we can integrate all religions and races except Islam.” [Link] shows that even mother time cannot change the essence of a man. How sad.
Dr Poh's comrades like Dr Lim Hock Siew has passed on and it is the voice of our elders who are still alive who will tell the "Real Truths" from the "Hard Truths"
I will post the video that I took this afternoon in my next blog.
Have a beautiful Sunday!
